refused. Over 50 mil vaccines so far, masks required on all public transportation.
Covid relief bill in the works. And it's very refreshing that Biden is doing his job
without an endless **** show and lies. I'm very happy not to have to hear that
Covid is like the flu, to watch a president mock masks, to lie and deny, claiming
that we're rounding the corner, it's going away.....

and why it was wrong. Like refusing to place orders last summer for 200 mil

orders, so now we won't have it until summer. How many more will die because
of that? Trump should have been impeached for that.

It doesn't matter when it was ordered, the Dem states haven't come up with a
plan; after all this time... The Dems wanted control, they got it and in the
immutable style blew it and now blame others. They wanted ventilators, they
wanted beds and they got them. What happened in typical Dem style is it all
went to waste.

You should calm down and look to future. All this fretting about the past is
not good for you. You got what you wanted but you still complain.

5 % or about 7,000 are over the age of 70 for the shots. The first two
times it was a mess. It was first come first served. People waited for
hours and the shots ran out as only about 500 shots were on hand.

minute time slots . I got on and got the wife and I an appointment. We
showed up about 20 minutes ahead of time. There was no one in line at
the entrance. A man had a list of people and checked us in and told us
where to go . It was in a large parking lot of a mall that was mostly
shut down as the major stores had left about 5 years ago. We were
handed forms to fill out and when we had finished , they were ready to
give us our shots. They were in a large tent we drove through. Had it
not been for the time to fill out the paper work and wait 15 minutes
after the shot, we would have been in and out in less time than it takes
to go to a fast food drive in. Hats off to the workers at that place.

I have delegated appointment-finding to the wife. After weeks of
repetitive filling out of on-line forms she found out they were
opening pharmacies in NYC (Brooklyn) for the vaccine so she got
back-to-back appointments for us both at a RiteAide about 10 blocks
away at 11.00 and 11.30am on Sat Feb 13. Tiny line of 3 people. We
waited in the store (warm). One girl checking us in. No crowds. The
Pharmacist who was doing the shots took me first. Had me remove my
jacket and sweat shirt. Boom! Hardly felt the needle. Then the wife.
We both received our shots and our cards and an appointment for the
second shot four weeks later. The Pharmacist said it was the Moderna
vaccine and they had received 20 doses earlier that day and we got the
tenth and eleventh ones.

A slight reaction of pain at the injection site and slight fever on
Sat and Sun nights but really nothing to worry about. I rarely have
any reaction to vaccines the exceptions being Smallpox (vomiting,
fever and other similar reactions) and DTTab (injection in the back
and a week in bed) but they were back in the 1970's and I don't think
you can even get them anymore.

Plan for what exactly? If you're talking about vaccines, the red states haven't
done any better. If you're talking about containing Covid, the Democrat run
states have certainly had plans since last spring. You, Trump, Republicans
have been complaining ever since. Not agreeing with their plan doesn't
mean they don't have one. The latest example of tragic stupidity is the
Republican governor of Iowa lifting the requirement for masks. That's right,
with infections and deaths still above the peak of both the spring and summer,
with new more contagious and deadly variants spreading, that dope lifted
the mask requirement. It's just a freaking mask. Only the new Republican
Party which is still the cult of Trump is that stupid.

With the vaccines, nothing was preventing Trump from developing a website that
all states could use to register for the vaccine. They could have figured out the
best ways to administer it too and recommended that to the states. Instead
Trump lied and denied. He lied that the military was going to be delivering and
administering the vaccine. Remember last spring, when Trump lied about
Google having 2500 engineers working on a website to direct people to get
a Covid test? Google said, WTF? We didn't say that. Trump called them liars.
Obviously it was Trump lying again, there never was a website. Trump likes
to take credit for developing the vaccines, but it was Congress that gave him
$2 tril and the authority to use it. So he placed some orders and gave some of
it to some of the companies developing the vaccines. Maybe I missed something,
but that's all I see that he did. BTW, were are the other lines to make more
vaccine? A competent president would have had a plan to get enough vaccine
so that all Americans could be vaccinated in maybe 4 months. Then back out
from that what needs to be done to get any one of the 6 vaccines into volume
production to meet that. We just got very lucky that 3 companies did a fantastic
job and they got lucky too, that it worked. We could have been stuck with just
one vaccine and no production lines to make enough. Trump was so incompetent
that when offered more vaccine last summer, he refused to place the orders.
He should rot in hell just for that. How many lives will that cost? It's on order
now, arriving late summer, because the rest of the world bought it instead.

that a person will not get sick. In the case of the US vaccines, they give a 95%
PROBABILITY that you will not get sick with Covid. And even the small number
that do still contract Covid, far fewer have severe cases requiring hospitalization

with the vaccines on tens of thousands of people. They showed that there
were 95% less cases of Covid in those vaccinated compared to those other
people in the study that received the placebo. Are you really that stupid

decrease the risk, decrease the spread, in order to get things under
control. They want to get it to a point where idiots like you can go on
living your life, without putting others at risk every time you step off

The country seems to be making good progress in recent weeks. I saw a stat
the other day saying the rate of new cases has fallen by 70% over the past
6 weeks. Hospitalizations and deaths either have fallen, or will fall, by
similar percentages. The reasons driving that seem to be more people
wearing masks, better social distancing, sanitizing hands, antibodies in
people who have had the virus and recovered from it, and vaccinations. Even
the worst vaccine appears to be about 85% successful, meaning ZERO severe
illness and ZERO hospitalizations and ZERO deaths from the vaccines. If
those numbers hold, that's a huge success.
