I am building an outside metal handrail because I was unhappy with the ones from Home Depot, Walmart, E-Bay and Lowes. You would think that EBay would have what I want, but it seems as if it is all the same things. The closest that I found was

which would seem to suit the purpose.

Alternatively, find a local wrought iron specialist.

Idk how strong electrical conduit would be either. It's not very thick, not really made to be load bearing. I would think there would be sources of railings online and/or a local railing company could order an off the shelf solution. From the description it's a very standard railing.

A better material is chain link fence top rail. It is heavier than EMT
and with better galvanizing. I find myself using that a lot. There are
lots of connectors in those little boxes under the material too.
I am fixin to use 2 sticks of it for a TV antenna mast as we speak.

This is definitely a job beyond the understanding and capability of
the OP - but I understand he is convinced getting an expert to do the
job will end up with him getting screwed.
Doing it himself will guarantee the same outcome.

Only difference is using the expert will end up with him having a
decent looking, useable and safe railing.

Kinda makes it a bit of a no-brainer (which should be familiar)
