Not to worry, trump says that 6 new mythical steel plants will be

opening.

President Donald Trump is crediting his tariffs with persuading U.S.

Cindy just posted where US Steel actually announced some layoffs.
Back when he did his steel and aluminum tariffs, one of the companies
that applied for an exemption from the tariffs, so they could continue
to import, was Alcoa. They didn't say anything about building new plants
either. Maybe some of this and his increasingly bizarre behavior is
starting to have an effect. He's behind about ten points compared to
his Democrat challengers in all the key states, states that he won last
time.

Oh, there is still plenty of Trump defense at Fox, eg Hannity, Tucker Carlson.
Carlson suddenly went on vacation last week after he went on a rant denying
that white supremacist organizations were a problem in the USA. He was
trying to defend Trump, obviously and he'll be back.

Maybe they are Russian plants and his buddy Putin told him about it and

Hard to compete with Bangladesh when using green power and watching your
CO2.

Just heard someone pointing out that the manufacturing sector is only
about 10% of our economy which seems a little low to me but they also
said that the services sector which is the major part is booming and on
balance the job market is very good.

Excuse me. Was or was not one of Trump's big campaign promises that he
was going to bring the manufacturing jobs back? Trump didn't say they
were lost to robots, no can do. Trump said they were lost to foreign
competition and he was going to bring them back. These new manufacturing
jobs are about as hard to find as the 7 new steel plants Trump keeps
saying US Steel has opened.

It's talking to you trumpets that's like talking to a wall. Trump lies
and you swear to it. Anything that's negative about Trump, it's "fake
news'. NEver seen anything like it. That's why I left the Republican
Party, I can't stand the hypocrisy. It's become nothing more than a
Trump cult, no values, no policy positions. Just whatever Trump says,
it's all good.

Oh, BTW, I see Trump has now flipped and isn't in favor of new, strong,
background checks for gun purchases. He lied again, I knew it. He just
said what he needed to say two weeks ago, in the wake of all the deaths.
And then trumpets can't understand why none of the victims in that
El Paso hospital would meet with him.

Even sillier than you usually manage and thats saying something.

Its also doctors, nurses, lawyers, realtors, plumbers, electricians,
hair dressers, retailers etc etc etc.

Okay, there is more to the service sector than that

Just a tad. In fact burger flippers are a microscopic
subset of the service sector.

but in the long run it adds no value.

Hard to compete with Bangladesh when using green power and watching
your CO2.

Just heard someone pointing out that the manufacturing sector s only
about 10% of our economy which seems a little low to me

Nope, its accurate.

but they also said that the services sector which is the major part is
booming and on balance the job market is very good.

And thats proven by the very low unemployment rate.

Aren't minimum wage jobs nice?

You, Alexandria Ocrazio-Kotex and Rashida "Mother****er" Tlaib should buy a McDonalds franchise and pay your burger-flippers $30/hr. Show us

Some 50-year-old gets laid off from his factory job isn't going to get
a new job programming computers. He's going to get a job in retail,
provided his town survives the plant closure.

But feel free to keep shoveling your fantasy bull****.

Democrat's high taxes make it cheaper to import steel from China

But then Trump was elected, and with his majority in Congress
and the Senate he kept his promise to ... what was it again ?
Ah, I remember, he called taxes "tariffs" and increased them
for consumers.
Thanks for the memory jog.

Anyone in a union factory job right now in the US who thinks his job
is safe may be too stupid to do anything else. Otherwise he would have
been learning another skill years ago so when that factory closes, and
it will, he can still find a decent job even if he has to move.

OTOH my BIL is making almost as much in retail as he did in his
Chrysler job after all of the concessions UAW made before they closed
the line anyway. (Kokomo IN)
