Yes, I'd go with composite too.

I listened to Rush a bit today, he's lamenting again how the awful
media keeps coming after Trump, that they won't leave him alone,
defending the ******** remarkds, yada, yada, yada. If this was one
incident with Trump, it would be one thing and the argument would
have merit. But Trump does one stupid thing after another. It took
a real imbecile to turn a simple meeting like that into a disaster.
And he does it one after the other. It's really sad that Rush can't
just say, look people, the media is beating him up, but he needs to
take responsibility for his own actions, stop the stupid stuff, stop
the juvenile name calling, stop the childish tweets and start acting
like a president. End of story. By always defending whatever his
latest mess is, they just keep enabling him. He listens to Rush, Fox,
Hannity, Levin, etc and believe he's not doing anything wrong. And
the **** show goes on.

Always claim that you support law enforcement, unless law enforcement
is investigating you. In that case, claim that law enforcement is
controlled by your political enemies or one of the groups you demagogue.

Rule #6:

Always play the tune your base wants to hear, even if it is nothing but
lies. There is little profit in honesty if that honesty doesn't pander
to your base.
