I get a ball point pen with a stylus tip in the mail from someone
about once a month.

It depends on the type of touch screen. Do you know the technology your touch screen uses. Perhaps if you posted a description of the device you have, someone here could tell you the kind of stylus you need. ヽ(ヅ)ノ

They are advertising novelties. If you buy a lot of stuff, you get a

Go to most any store and get on a ball point pen.
