GE Dishwasher problems

I have a GE Potscrubber 1200. As of late the soap seems to be collecting
around the dispenser. The general performance of the unit seems to be
degrading. Is there regular maintenance or a fix for these units ? Is it
time to buy a new dishwasher ?

Thanks

Derek.-

Something's to consider when you have a washing or draining
problem....

Not much in mainteance except cleaning out any gookus from the bottom
or sump area....a little cleaner once in a while will help....

GE Dishwasher problems

Hi Derek,

I'd check the water fill level first. Start the DW, allow it to fill, and
after it's started to wash, opeb the door and see how much water's
in the tank. Should be partway up the float.

The fill valve screen can clog, and since your machine is 'time-fill',
there can be too little water to do the job. Pretty common, especially
on well water.

I discussed this in the January '04 issue of my newsletter. See item
#2 of that issue, archived he

Hope that helps.

God bless,
