3/8 " Skil Drill 599C Switch.

I have an old 3/8" Skil drill model 599C whose variable speed trigger
is kaput, It is a hammer drill with a collar behind the chuck for
selecting normal drill or the vibrating "hammer" action.

The last time I went to the dealer this switch was replaced promptly
as this was a high failure item.. I think this drill model is no
longer manufactured and the dealer closed shop long ago.

Does anyone know which part in the swtich assembly can I replace to
fix it?

Thank you. Amazing, that is exactly the part. I'll try to fix the
present switch for a plain ON/OFF function. If that doesn't work its
probably a toss away. The drill is 20 years old and a brand new 3/8"
drill costs around $30 nowadays.
