Porcelain tile on sheetrock soffit in shower
 

Is it okay to mount porcelain tile on sheetrock for a soffit in a shower?
The soffit's the only part of the shower that has sheetrock and was not
originally going to be tiled. If this is okay to do, would the tile end up
acting as a moisture barrier?
