They're simple to replace, but fragile! Don't touch the element with bare hands, and don't scratch or bump it against anything. "Rick" wrote in message om... How difficult is it to purchase and replace a furncace ignitor on a Lennox GenIII? |

"Rick" wrote in message om... How difficult is it to purchase and replace a furncace ignitor on a Lennox GenIII? Takes about 5 minutes to buy one and about 20 to install it, IF thats the problem...and not the ignition control, particularly if its got Robershaw on it... A broken ignitor, does not mean that replacement of the HSI will fix your problem...just keep that in mind. Unless you are buying one made of ceramic, and not silicon carbide, dont pay more than $10 or your getting ripped...prices vary, but for that model...10 bux is it.. |

Never done a Lennox. I've seen the Rheems, and they look like a piece of
cake. What makes you think you are working on a furnace with a bad ignitor? Have you done some trouble shooting? Or are you just asking for curiosity?
