Can I glue down ceramic tile directly onto a formica countertop , with
mastic glue? If so what type of preperation to the surface must be
done to get them to stick?

Thanks,

You can if you want. Scarify it a bit if you want but it's not necessary.

sand it with 90 grit sandpaper first. You might need to prime it too because
the grout might not adhere.
