Curiosity got the better of me and when I was at Dollar General yesterday getting some cheap glucosamine for my knees... I took the giant leap and got the flashlight. I'm still trying to figure out why a big double D size flashlight with only one D cell? Maybe because it's an election year and anything can happen. Of course I took it apart and there is what looks like a simple transistor/resister circuit. The voltage at the bulb was about 1 volt with the light in the circuit. The battery measured... well it's a D cell so it's 1.5 volt. I suppose the transistor is actually some kind of voltage regulating thing. The thing will probably be "repurposed" for a bike light...maybe... or it will fall off the shelf and roll under the bed.. to be discovered someday and taken to that "what the hell is this thing and what's it worth" show on PBS. Further independent study for those wanting extra credit... http://www.edn.com/design/led/441654...d-measurements |

Probably an acquired taste. I make both chicken and beef stock. Best I have found for hair, skin, joints, bones, etc., is made out of range free, grass fed beef bones. I buy them from a local rancher that sells direct to the public. I have found that calcium supplements are not such a good idea. Grass fed beef can be tough and nasty, unless you find someone that hangs and ages it. Mine does and it is so yummy! Closest thing to wild game you can get. I also find myself eating less of it as it is very high in nutrition and I eat less to get the stuff. (I have checked with my fellow Primals, and they also noticed the same thing.) From the ranting of people who repeat lies and falsehoods. Hi Stormin, My father was a Mormon. I am well aware of what Mormons believe. I have never told a single falsehood to you (or anyone else for that matter) about Mormons. I actually have a lot of respect for Mormons. Have you noticed lately that Mormons are getting blamed for the economy? You know, evil Mitt and all that. Next Mormons will blame Mormons for toe fungus. -T Besides, we all know that Mormons were the ones that killed off all the unicorns. Wait. That was Mormons, wasn't it? Wasn't it you who said Mormons are not Christians? How huge a lie do you wish by way of example? YES!!! Mormons are Christians. We are actually, to this one mans's view more Christian than people who only use the Bible. Mormons are heretics. You are lucky the Pope didn't burn you at the stake. No. They are just their own religon. The way they aquit themselves is to be admired in a lot of ways. When was the last time you heard of a Mormon beheading a non believing Infidel? All the Mormons I've ever met were wonderful folks. When the hurricane tore up the Northeast a while back, a group of Mormon youth showed up to help out just like groups from other churches. ^_^ [8~{} Uncle Church Monster Got a lot of sweet Mormons on my dad's side of the family. And who shows up first to help after a natural disaster? The Mormons. Society benefits when all religions complete in good work. The Religion of Peace needs to take notice of that. |

Your disconnect with reality is both tragic and amusing to me. You continue to exhibit childish behavior but I won't excoriate you for it. I can only feel sorry for you. Perhaps with the right therapy, you could become closer to what a normal human being should be. ^_^ [8~{} Uncle pathetic Monster Interesting that you attempt the "high road". And I wonder who else is childish around here...could it be YOU? |

Wasn't it you who said Mormons are not Christians? Yes, indeed it was. They are not. Mormons are polytheists. Christians are monotheists. Mormons are Hellenists with Christian names tacked on to their idols. How huge a lie do you wish by way of example? Not a lie. Ask any Mormon if they are polytheist. It is on the LDS web site too. You can't be a Christian if you are a polytheist. YES!!! Mormons are Christians. Now that it a lie in itself. Christians do not worship idols and do not believe they can become gods. We are actually, to this one mans's view more Christian than people who only use the Bible. You can't be a Christian if you worship idols. Reusing Christian names on your idols doesn't make you a Christian. Cleaver, but not a Christian. And you are still a nice guy and you are not going to hell. Sending good people to hell that are outside of your religion is Mormon stuff, not Christian stuff. Sola scriptura if not a biblical principle by the way. Further independent study for those wanting extra credit... http://www.edn.com/design/led/441654...d-measurements I had a weak moment, today. Went and bought one. The one battery worked, the light shines a very blue, poorly focussed spot on the ceiling. It's about twilight, so it's a pretty fair test of light output. I plan to do some testing after dark. Also check amp draw, battery life, and a few things like that. So far, with the initial moment or two of testing, it appears to be a reasonable value. -- .. Christopher A.
