hall, a machine shop and a dry cleaner. It also had its own newspaper,

a high population mark of approximately 600 residents in the 1930s,
the population has declined ever since, and in 2000 there were only 15

courthouse, two stop signs, gas station, post office, school building

So? Black Alabama had only one blinker light, shot out an became a
Marlin nest. The main road was moved so folks never got to see the
main intersection or the general store. I guess you are trying to

Yes, but it's hardly a "town". If you've been in that part of the country,
you'd realize it wouldn't even qualify as a *neighborhood*! Focus on a

I've been to Dixville Notch several times. I've never been in Mentone TX
although I've been south of it on I20. NH wins hands down. There may not
be many humans, but at least there's something there.

I've been to Dixville Notch several times. I've never been in Mentone TX
although I've been south of it on I20. NH wins hands down. There may not be

I was anemic and had a low red blood cell count. Doctors were trying to figure out where the blood was going when I told them that I was too old to have a period. ^__^
