Renewal Replacement Windows By Andersen ?

Bob posted for all of us...

And I know how to SNIP

Hello,

Regarding the "Renewal By Andersen" replacement windows:

a. who are you actually dealing with ?

The installer/owner/franchisee

Are these individual franchises ?

Call Anderson.

Who stands behind their warranty: the franchisee (if it is one) or the
basic Andersen people ?

Call Anderson

b. They make a very big deal in their TV ads that the windows are made
from some material they call "Fibrex".

What is this Fibrex actually ?

Pressed lint.

Some sort of composite made from old pressed together something or other ?

Pressed lint.

c. If the Fibrex is so great, how come the windows from the basic
Andersen folks don't seem to use it, and stick to basic wood ?

It's called choice.

Worth considering ? Why ?

I like Anderson stuff, they stand behind their products, common and parts
are available if needed.

Any thoughts on these windows, and the folks that sell and install them,
would be appreciated.

You asked this question above. Why not ask the vendor?

Thanks,
Bob

Search "Anderson", it takes you to "Andersen"
