Those who are fond of doing handicrafts know this and always try to make the best of those waste things and recycled things that no one wants. There are many ways to use those remaining lit bit of yarn, fabrics or fibers that you think are good for nothing. We often visit a yarn store and come out with a bundle of yarn to make those lovely sweaters for our kids and family members. But, what to do with that lit bit of yarn that still remains after the sweater is done?

I'm all aquiver. NYS is confiscating guns, the North Koreans are threatening
nuclear strikes on the US, the Iron Lady is dead, RIP, Annette from the
Mousketeers is dead, USA unemployment is up about 15%, food stamp dependancy
is at an all time high, global warming is going to kill us all, the
northeast may be getting freezing rain tonight, bank foreclosures are up,
the price of gasoline is at an all time high.

None of that matters, until I figure out how to use the last bit of yarn
from after I knit a sweatter. Curses! I'll never be able to sleep until I
know.

I know what to do, I learned it from my Sainted Granny!

She had a cigar box labeled "Pieces of string to short to be of any use."

I put the residuals in a box. And that's no yarn.
