Here's something from the internet.

According to the canonical history of Islam, the religion was founded by

on the Persians in the east and the Byzantines in the north and west.

they waged against the invaders, they left behind not one single mention of
Mohammed. Not one. Other Islamic generals are named (not too flatteringly),
but not Mohammed.

It's as if he never existed, or, more likely, his exploits were embellished
in the 7th and 8th century.
