OT - USA troops in Israel
 

I recently saw online, that USA is staging some troops in Isreael,
supposedly for the strike on Iran. What are the odds our Muslim in Chief is
going to wage war against a Muslim Iran?

My gut sense is that we just invaded Israel. A couple online friends have
reminded me that when we do this (or try to get Israel to give land to
Palestine) that we have major weather problems and power cuts.

Is everyone getting ready for the home repairs that will be needed when we
have severe weather and power cuts.... again?

about. Every time the US invades Israel, the US somehow experiences bad

There will be a lot of home repairs over there, I can't go, my health
knocks me out of overseas contract jobs. ^_^

Heh! As we speak, Israel has about 13,000 lifers making a career of the
military. This is augmented by about 100,000 conscripts doing their 2 or 3
year tour of duty plus reservists doing their annual 30-day service. So,
there are about 120,000 Israelis in uniform and on duty right now.

This number can be increased to 650,000 troops deployed in combat on three
fronts in 72 hours, with the first quarter-million coming online by this
time tomorrow.

The U.S. DoD estimates Israel can field 18 divisions of infantry and armor.
If so, this make Israel having a land force 50% larger than the U.S.
authorized strength (10 Army & 2 Marine divisions). And this is BEFORE the
cuts contemplated by the current administration.
