anyone using rollup security shutters on door & windows?
 
Sure could use your advice. What's been your experience? Who makes the
best products?

Those are very popular in europe. Search on rolladen shutters. The
germans first came up with them. They are great for storms and also
if you want your bedroom to stay dark until you get up, not when the
sun gets up :-)

That brand shutter is popular in retirement villages, second homes for
snow-birds, etc.

Some folks claim a significant reduction in the energy bill (30%?). I
suspect a cat burglar would move along, because getting in the widow
would be noisy.


Have had these on my home in Canada for 20 years, no problems with
raising or lowering, good for darkening room for sleeping etc,
excellent quality
