What is the best way/tool to cut 4x8 foot sheets of laminate tub and
shower material? Any special saw blades?

Fine toothed sabre saw, support the material carefully. Scoring the
laminate surface before cutting will help reduce splintering of the
surface. Cutting on the wrong side will also reduce splintering.

I used a utility knife to cut through mine but it really depends what type
of laminate you're talking about. Mine was the soft plastic that can be
rolled into a tube for transport, and glued on the backer board.

It took a couple of scores of the knife to get all the way through.

What kind of "laminate tub and shower material"?

Well a knife was out of the question as the material was too hard.
Used a veneer blade on a small circular saw and it worked okay.

Thanks for the suggestions.
