tecumseh "extended cam" what's that?

just random curiosity
i see the tecumseh engines advertise "extended cam" or "extended cam
2:1" but googlin around doesn't explain what that might mean. the
tecumsehpower.com website is useless. anybody bored enough to explain
it to me, thanks in advance?

It means the end of the camshaft extends through the side of the
engine. It rotates opposite the crankshaft at half speed. Mostly used
for reverse on tillers.
