Completely agree. Too much M.Jackson.

Let's offer a prize for the most appropriate and shortest obituary!
Absolute maximum twenty words words including definite and in
indefinite articles.

"Driven child star (that's three words), entertainer, sang, danced,
made money, spent badly (ten words so far). Alleged unusual/weird
personal relationships often in media. No children. (Twenty total?)"

And that's more than enough, since he appears to have self destructed
at age 50.

Now back to real life! And boy doesn't this nonsense really open up
our way of life and attitudes to anyone who wishes to criticise our
'Western' and 'Democratic' lifestyle!

Left out marriages....married to a woman whose father self-destructed in
much the same way. Apparently killed by drugs, as so many more average
people are.

I often wonder what children think seeing all the TV commercials for
Viagra-type drugs....or drugs for asthma or birth control that carry
cautions they can cause blindness, fainting, heart attack and death.
Oh! I've gotta try that!???

In a way, i kind of resent the hero status some are giving him . While
i liked him in the early years with The Jackson Five for the catchy
fun songs...when he got older he essentially took the road to stardom
as many pop-singers have...that is, lewd behavior on stage (rubbing/
grabbing his genitals and thrusting them forward to the applause of
the brainwashed audience), proponent of rebellion thru lyrics, and
promotion of sexual immorality thru songs. However, i dont think he
was by any stretch the worst for this...I think the worst role-model
for young people is and always will be Madonna ; someone whos built a
$600,000,000 empire from pushing illicit sex mainly to kids just
reaching puberty. I suppose when she dies, shell be hailed as the
Princess of Pop (??).

Madonna was honestly outrageous about sex. Pushing illicit sex? Guess
I missed that message. She was many levels above those who have a moral
duty as part of their profession - teachers, physicians, judges,
politicians, police officers - who habitually violate the duties of
their office. Reagan, and the hoards who followed, surrounded himself
with a bunch of flaky clergymen and right-wingers only to gain votes of
the "moral majority". Rubbish and hypocricy. On his watch, the AIDS
epidemic took off because, at first, it was a "gay men's disease".
Ignored in much the way that the holocaust was ignored (less valuable
human beings). Side effect was thousands of children with hemophilia who
died from contaminated blood supplies. Then came temp jobs and "trickle
down" economics.

It all started with that damn Elvis and his gyrating hips! Then it

No, no, no! Before Elvis, there was Frank Sinatra. Before Frank, there
was Valentino. Go way, way back ... to Mozart :o)

just got worse.. that Gerry Lee Lewis, we should have banned
rock-n-roll back then I tell you! Then those Beatles and their long
hair... don't even get me going on those disgusting Rolling Stones.

Mick will soon be 66 and he still can rock like a kid. Go Mick! When
Elvis was at the height of his career, dressed in his flashiest
jumpsuits, I tried to picture him as an old man.

Honestly, sometimes I watch "Foot Loose" and just pray to God that it
will happen for real and they will ban that awful rock-n-roll dancing
from one end of the country to another.

Be careful what you wish for....and you didn't mention rap :o)

In his eulogy I dont think they'll be mentioning the 20 million he
paid to the parents of his first pedophilia victim to keep them from
going to court. Or dangling an infant from a balcony. Or neglecting
to secure the most important aspect of his childrens future in his
estate, and that is establishing guardianship rights to loving
parents. Those kids will now be looked at as mere tickets to the
remaining fortune and be fought over by people who want it and will
take the kids but not love them. But this is what is to be expected
from a "man boy", irresponsibility.

REMEMBER THOSE WHO HAVE GIVEN THEIR LIVES FOR OUR FREEDOM.....
America has suffered a great loss ! (I can not verify
the following but accept it - as is)

With no disrespect intended to the Jackson family, this certainly reveals
the shallowness of America's value system.

While egomaniacs raced to see who could be first on the scene and get their
faces in front of the media cameras and make themselves feel important;
others Americans died.
While the focus today, tomorrow and for the next God-knows-how-many-days
will be the death of a pop culture icon; while many will mourn, wail and
quite literally make fools of themselves over it and while as many will
speak endlessly about it, allow me, if only for a moment, to remind us all
that others have died this month; others whose lives were cut short; others
who leave behind loved ones and whose families will dearly miss them;
families who'll suffer with much more dignity and honor than we'll be
exposed to on the tube in the coming days.

Yes... it's true... we've suffered a great loss... but forgive me while I
tell you that I'm not talking about the king of pop music.

These American military members died in Iraq this month (June 2009 ):

Sergeant Justin J. Duffy
Specialist Christopher M. Kurth
Specialist Charles D. Parrish
Lance Corporal Robert D. Ulmer
Staff Sergeant Edmond L. Lo
Sergeant Joshua W. Soto
Captain Kafele H. Sims
Specialist Chancellor A. Keesling

And these members of our U.S. Armed Forces died in Afghanistan this month:

Sergeant Jones, Ricky D.
Specialist Munguia Rivas, Rodrigo A.
Command Master Chief Petty Officer Garber, Jeffrey J.
1st Sergeant Blair, John D.
Sergeant Smith, Paul G.
Staff Sergeant Melton, Joshua
Sergeant 1st Class Dupont, Kevin A.
Specialist O'Neill, Jonathan C.
Chief Warrant Officer Richardson Jr., Ricky L.
Specialist Silva, Eduardo S.
Lance Corporal Whittle, Joshua R.
Major Barnes, Rocco M.
Major Jenrette, Kevin M.
Staff Sergeant Beale, John C.
Specialist Jordan, Jeffrey W.
Specialist Griemel, Jarrett P.
Specialist Hernandez I, Roberto A.
Sergeant Obakrairur, Jasper K.
Staff Sergeant Hall, Jeffrey A.
Private 1st Class Ogden, Matthew D.
Private 1st Class Wilson, Matthew W.

Let's remember and honor this day those
whose deaths are truly impacting the future of America.

How can Americans trust a Congress that passes laws without reading them ?
Save your stimulus money to pay Obama's NEW TAXES on fuel and utilities !
If you think health care is expensive now wait till it is FREE!
A village in Kenya is missing its' idiot !
When will America admit that Obama = One Big A$$ Mistake America ! ?
