Wood Stove Repair
Hi...just purchased a fairly old cast iron wood stove. Some of the
"cement" in the corners is worn away or cracked, therefore breaking the air tight seal. What type of cement or caulking is used for these types of repairs? Is there a special high-heat cement? Thanks! |

Thanks! Yes. You can get it at any decent hardware store. Just tell them what you need and they'll show you what they got. |

Thanks! If your local sources don't carry Rutland furnace cement, browse the online stores that deal in ceramics and kiln supplies. They will have something sure to fix the problem. HTH Joe |
