Fixing hairline crack in porcelain sink

Just noticed a series of relatively superficial, hairline, cracks in
our porcelain bathroom sink. The very fine cracks in the porcelain
surface radiate out from a center point suggesting that something hard
dropped there causing the resulting cracks.

Is there a good DIY repair that would be relatively invisible or does
one need to bring in a specialist or even replace the sink.

Again, the cracks are very thin and superficial (and certainly not
structural) so unless the repair will be prett much invisble, I will
just probably leave it alone for now.

Thanks!

Had cracks on all three porcelain sinks for years but none of them leak.
Maybe the hairline cracks is a porcelain feature.

If the cracks are in the glazing, the fix is simple. Remove the fixture and
all fittings. Put the sink in a kiln and fire to cone 06. That should be
hot enough to re-seal any cracks. Re-install.

Other than that, there is no fix. If the porcelain itself is cracked,
nothing will fix it.

What's the replacement cost of equivalent sink? Could you replace the sink
yourself?
