Default Log cabin siding, a different approach

I'm building a 28x32' block garage with 12/12 pitch attic trusses for a
possible efficiency apartment above.

I've been thinking of different ways to finish the exterior and got an
idea. What was going to be fairly smooth stucco would have log cabin
siding, but with spaces between for stucco to look like a real log cabin
with chinking between the logs.

The garage doors will be in the front (gable end) and I'm also thinking
of maybe some fake posts and log siding around the doors, also with the
chinking.

I'm wondering how this may hold up? Any ideas? Any pictures?

Thanks,
Tony
