Default paint - discernible difference between 1 coat and 3?

I might have to cover a wall with 2 coats a third time, to fix
patchiness (see he http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...tohub/sigh.jpg)

Will the wall colour be noticeably different from walls around it that
have only 1 coat of paint?
