wine fridge temperature is too cold

Hello all,
i recently purchased a Damby wine fridge (model DWC350BPL) and the
temperature inside the unit is too cold for proper storing of wine.
it has a manual thermostat mounted on the outside rear of the unit. i
was wondering if there is an oportunity to splice in a resistor of
some sort in the thermostat to "trick" the thermostat, which would
then cause the compressor to come on less frequently. if anyone has
any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance,
Mike

A recent purchase ought to have some sort of warranty. Seems logical
to ask customer service for replacement or repair.

How cold is too cold? Is the thermostat set to the warmest position?

Having the compressor come on less frequently won't solve the problem if it
runs longer to achieve the set point. Perhaps there is an adjustment on
the t'stat itself for range?

Come to think of it, If customer service abandons you to your own
devices, one possible cause of the problem may be a displaced
thermostat probe. It should be in contact with the cooling coils. if
not, it will allow the system to keep running until it reaches the set
temperature by conduction, convection or shear luck, dunno. Might have
bounced loose during a shipping mishap or something similar. HTH

Joe.
