Must use oil primer over oil paint?

never put latex over oil paint... if its oil there are some special latex
primers like gliddens Gripper that will stick to oil... then you can use a
latex paint as a finish

Must use oil primer over oil paint?

Hi,

Is it true that one must use oil primer when painting over an old coat
of oil paint? And that it's ok to then go over the oil primer with
latex paint?

Thanks in advance!

As long as its clean and sanded or not glossy latex is fine over oil
