When you buy fluorescent bulbs to replace the incandescent ones in
your lamps and fixtures, keep the box and receipt. They're guaranteed for years on end--but I've had three or four fail within 18 months. -- bruce The dignified don't even enter in the game. -- The Jam |

Yes, make sure you like the light they give off. We got a pack from Lowe's, I think it was, and the light gave off a cold blueish tone-- made the house look like a 1980s science fiction movie! We took them back for a refund, and bought another pack elsewhere. It will take a few minutes for the bulbs to warm up, so don't panic if they seem dim at first. But once they're fired up they should have a warm tone like an incandescent, just not as harsh. -- bruce The dignified don't even enter in the game. -- The Jam |
