Are you divorced/divorcing? PLEASE fill out this survey.
A group of students from Rutgers University in Newark, NJ would like
to obtain valuable information from you in regards to your divorce. The feedback that you give through taking the survey linked below will be used in our study to help us determine what processes organizations can take in order to better serve women in the future that may face the same challenges that you did during your divorce process. The survey results are anonymous and it will only take about 10 minutes of your time. We thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation and efforts to help those who will benefit from your feedback. Survey Link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?s...GOXCqOgA_3d_3d We are conducting this survey for the benefit of The Divorce Education Center of New Jersey. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact the team leader, Brooke Chuang, at 732-500-6688 or . If you have any questions about the Team Consulting Program, please contact the Director, Paul Belliveau, at 973-353-1126 or . Thank you! Sincerely, Rutgers University Team Consulting Group |

Rutgers University Team Consulting Group This is a very one sided issue. Men sometimes need help also, especially when women take the guy to court for child support and use the money for themselves. You have a narrow focus for an alleged bastion of higher education. Discrimination lives. |

Women are much more independent today. |

If, for example, you live in New York and your spouse files for divorce, zip to Nevada or Texas or Florida, set up residence and get the divorce there, while stalling the proceedings in New York. Once divorced in, say, Florida, the New York proceeding is mooted (you can't divorce someone from which you're already divorced). This is one of the things lawyers don't tell you (a New York lawyer won't mention it because he doesn't get a fee for your Nevada actions). |

It's so stupid that a man/woman has to prove s/he's single to buy property or a house. But, to buy a vehicle they don't care about marital status. I wish the government would stay out of our personal lives. Letting each state define marriage is stupid as well. I wonder how many dated a "single" person when really they were secretly married? |

My husband and I did not have to prove we were married to buy our house. When we divorced and I bought my own, I didn't have to "prove I was single". It varies by state. In community property states, some lenders and buyers insist that all who have a financial interest in the transaction affirmatively consent to the deal. |
