cement lab water leaking
when we have heavy rains.. i have water seeping up from the floor. it
is a cement slab with pavers over it.. i have put tar on the side of the house, i have put flashing on the side as well. but the only thing that did help a bit was the sandbags i put along the side of the house. i am not sure is it a crack in the fountain?? any advise or suggestions would be most appreicated.. |

You'll see another says to make sure the ground slopes away from the house. I have ground in the back that is pretty much even to the house and not sure what it will cost to try to funnel it away (dig some sort of gradient in but no idea of cost). We do have extended gutters to lead the water away. The front slopes nicely to the street but not the back yard. If sandbags are helping, it sounds more like a gradient problem to me. Thats good news because it's cheaper to fix than raising a house and having the slab redone! |
