I like it when people get hosed into believing air conditioning is a closed
system. There's something called makeup air. Needed when there's a clothes
dryer in the house, a bathroom exhaust vent, or a true exhaust vent above
the range. The makeup air is sourced from the exterior of the dwelling. If
makeup air is non-existent, something will give and allow such.

If any air is exhausted to the exterior of the building, be it a bathroom
exhaust fan, range hood, or clothes dryer; it must be sourced from the
outside of the dwelling to MAKEUP the air such took from the building. If
unable to source air external to the building immediately, a vacuum of sorts
would be attained until something gave in the building to allow such air to
vent inside the building from the outside of the building. This may be
heard as air screeching at a closed door or window, or, seen as a door
popping open or much easier to open. This is makeup air.

You miss the fact that makeup air always exists IF air is exhausted outside
the building... HVAC ceases to be a closed system. Makeup air does NOT
have to be introduced as part of the HVAC system.
