Default Bug identification

Just found the second one in the same area of our interior. This bug is
about 1/4" long, and the same width for its whole length except for a
waist that's so small it's almost imperceptible. It jumps a foot or two
when disturbed, with a definite CLICK sound. It may have tiny, thin
wings. Can't get a picture and can't find one on line; insect identification
sites aren't any help. What can it be?
