The floor was stain a dark color with light color streaks every so
often. Sort of reminds you of some the more modern wood floors of today.

Look into ammonia fuming' it darkens the wood when reacting with the
tannins it contains.

I have had success using the ammonia that is used in the old blueprint
machines, diazo?
In shallow pans over a heat source with the room sealed off.
