Wood Stain - Possibilities

The floor was stain a dark color with light color streaks every so

Look into ammonia fuming' it darkens the wood when reacting with the
tannins it contains.

I have had success using the ammonia that is used in the old blueprint
machines, diazo?
In shallow pans over a heat source with the room sealed off.
