Toilet water level
Hey all Is there any way to control the toilet bowls (not the tank) water level? Or is level determined solely by the design? Thanks in advance Dale |

Thanks in advance Dale Water level is controlled by the bowl design. However, faulty operation of the flapper valve can cause an incomplete flush leaving a low water level in the bowel. SJF |

Thanks in advance Dale Actually, I too have a bowl that does not fill so bought a replacement valve kit just because the refill tube was defective. Turns out that the little tube that goes in the pipe must supply just the right amount of water to fill the bowl before the tank gets full. Of course, it doesn't hurt if it runs over a bit. Some valves have a screw adjustment to control the refill rate. Other's don't. |

If the mechanics are working properly it will fill to the same level. In many applications if there are high gusty winds it will partly empty the bowl. Also over time a seldom used bowl will lower from evaporation. -- Joseph Meehan Dia 's Muire duit |

Water in the bowl is called the spot. Some designs have a low spot. These are
generally the bowls that do not have a flush jet. I forget the theory behind the bowls with high spots vs low spots, but if you google the net, you will probably find an expert. Another cause of a low spot could be the bowl is not level. Whomever wrote: Hey all Is there any way to control the toilet bowls (not the tank) water level?
