Depends on the plan.
Most residential plan drawings I have seen are minimal layouts.
They show where outlets and switches are to be located.
Even this is pretty general, since they are not dimensioned.
The drawing should show what kind of outlet is in each location.
GFI, duplex, and so on are indicated by symbol.
