On a Miter saw, which way is the blade or teeth supposed to go. Label on
the right or left ?

When you unscrew the arbor nut it is turning in the same direction that
the blade would turn when cutting. Otherwise it would come loose in
use.

A miter saw or chop saw should have the closest teeth (to the
operator) in the down direction.

Ignore the label (are all blades labeled on the
same side?). The teeth cut down into the board so
that the board is pushed against the fence.
