Default possible water pump problems? (not sure)

We live out in the country. We have well water. Recently the water
seems to alter pressure coming out of all the faucets; it's like you
are turning the pressure from the handle from medium to hard (but we
aren't doing anything). It continually fluxuates... It also seems to
be mixed both hot and cold when only one or the other is turned on (I
especially notice this in the shower) ... please help us!

Signed,

City folks trying to rough it in the country.
