Adding electric start to petrol lawn mower

my partner's mum is unable to start her Electorlux LC400 lawn mover and
i was wondering if something could be done to make it easier for her.
it's nearly new & starts perfectly for me but she doesn;t have the
strength

is there something that couild make it easier - maybe an electric
starter?

thanks
Frank

Adding the type of electric starter found on larger engines (such as
snowthrowers) requires that the flywheel and cover were manufactured to
accept a starter motor.

The power drill attachment is shown on EBAY as Item number 7772145990.
I've never used one, or spoke to a person that has used it, so I can't
lend advise on whether it is a viable option.

Using that drill thing , a persons feet-foot will be an issue. You will
be at the mowers edge leaning over it when it starts, many accidents
happen by blades. Now pull starts are away on the handle a safer
design. If granny cant start it she is to weak to really be safe
running it.

time for a new mower. if its a small yard a battery mower may be a good
choice, never need gas at all

Gas-powered lawn mowers start when the flywheel
moves fast enough to generate a spark and thus ignite
the fuel-air mixture. I.e. in order to add an electric starter
you would need to adapt or replace the flywheel -- and
pull-start mowers are not engineered to permit this.

But if an elderly woman cannot start a nearly new mower,
it is wrongly adjusted -- and perhaps should be readjusted
free (under warranty.)
