I want to install new recess lights in my living and family rooms. My
ceiling is vaulted ceiling.
Is there any good way to reduce the number of ceiling sheetrock cuts
for wiring besides the number of holes for the recesses light fixtures?

Please advice any tool and technique.

You didn't supply too many details, but generally speaking sometimes you can
drill through the hole cut for the light into the next joist and snake your
wire through. There are a number of long drill bits available for this. I
like to find the center mark for each fixture and make a small (Quarter
inch) hole there and probe around with a long thin screw driver and a
fishtape to make sure that there aren't any ducts or pipes in the way BEFORE
I cut the hole for the fixture. I have been finding in some newer homes
that were built with prefabricated trusses that there is a space between the
vaulted ceiling and the roof. That makes it easy to get from one light to
the next without drilling or cutting access holes.

If you must cut some holes in the drywall to pass wire through, cut them at
a forty five degree angle to make it easier to patch. See he

If you use ICT fixtures you will be very limited to the amount of bulb
wattage that you can utilize. Usually 75 watts. If you use Non-ICT
fixtures you will need to cut any insulation back about three inches from
the fixture.
