venetian blinds
can you put those up on the wall like you would a curtain, or do they have
to go in the frame? |

yes. there's 2 kinds. inset into the window frame, and outside mounted on
the wall. order the correct mounting brackets when you order the blind. "SeaKan" wrote in message ... can you put those up on the wall like you would a curtain, or do they have to go in the frame? |

They can be installed on a wall if you wish. Blinds can go inside or outside
a window box. The new plastic ones can even be narrowed by using a chop saw, but I would caution that you wrap the blind tightly with tape before chopping it off. (uneven jagged edges if you don't) The square box mounting bracket that comes with the blind is suited for several different mounting applications. The keywords you are missing is "extension brackets" for wall mounting or some companies use square "plastic shims" to build out the blinds. Either will work and allow the blinds to clear the woodwork. If you window or door does not have wood around it the plain old blind right of the box is all you need. Colbyt |
