garage door opener
Its time for a new opener on the garage. Which type of drive is quieter,
belt or screw drive? Is either one signifigantly more reliable or trouble free? Thanks, Dave |

Thanks, Dave There are differences so it is not always one quieter than the other. Generally belt will be quieter and screw more reliable, however quality counts more. Some of the new ones are very quiet. We don't know how long they will last however. In addition, noise is also dependent on how well they are installed and where the noise is being measured. -- Joseph Meehan Dia duit |
