No more oil paint in the Northeast?

I stopped at Sherwin Williams today to pick up some sanding sealer.
Surprise - no longer available north of West Virginia. I also understand
that you no longer can buy oil based paint unless your north of West (by
God)Virginia. What do I use on outdoor wood objects. I've never been
satisfied completely with Latex.

The EPS doesn't care how you feel, they just want to reduce emissions of
VOCs. Shipping paint can be expensive and probably illegal too from a
commercial place.

You can still get oil based paint, it just has to meet VOC limits.
Look around.

Forget about it. Florida has oil paint, but it is crap. Had part of
the condo painted in '01. White trim, beige walls. White trim is now
gunky yellow. My cig smoke usually washes off. This yellow does not.
Just finished painting a bath, got paint at Ben Moore this time. Asked
about yellowing of the other paint, which was not their brand. Said oil
paint yellows when not exposed to light because of the compounds used
now. NOW what am I supposed to do? I am not putting latex on woodwork.
Can ya' buy imported paint? Got no use for Viagra, but sure like oil
paint :o)

I miss the white enamel with lead. Just because some ill behaved kid may
chew the baseboards, we can't use lead any more.
