Now I suppose you go to church to worship God, but no one has ever told you that while you are in church on Sunday morning, God is out drinking. Even God needs a rest once and awhile, and he knows that all his creatures are much safer in church than out on the streets, so that gives him time to get a good drunk going before he has to return to work. After all, aside from getting paper cuts on the hymnals and prayer books, church is a pretty safe place to be. So, next time you are in church, remember, God is out getting drunk and taking a much deserved rest. This just leaves one question. Does God attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings after we all leave church? Wally |
