Default (leaking) dishwasher troubleshooter links?

i purchased a stainless AMANA sofsound III dishwasher for $50, model
ADW850EAS

needed to reconnect one of those cellophane type wire connectors behind
the panel that came loose behind the control panel.

looks great, runs quiet, but is leaking. can't tell if it's coming
from the tub or a connection, so tonight i'm going to pull it out and
start looking.

are there any good dishwasher leak links anyone can recommend? maybe
what to check in what order? i'm also going to grab book at library on
way home.

i didn't see what cycle it happened in, was about 10 minutes into the
first cycle ever run. my connections (water in and out) are secure.

i don't mind the challenge, i'm sure i can fix it but if anyone has
idea of what to start with that'd be great. i also have my old
dishwasher i could use for parts if they are compatible.

i felt pretty good about fixing the loose wire in panel - so if i can
fix this i'll be feeling great.

thanks in advance!

i found some links, this should get me started. it's not the door or
the water intake valve, so must be in hoses or hose connection,
(hopefully), or seal (harder to fix)

Take off the kick (toe) panel and completely dry the area under
the dishwasher. lay a towel down under there and then run a
rinse cycle. light up the area under the dishwasher with a
bright light and watch for leaks while the rinse cycle runs.

update

i did what gordon said above, but better - i put the dishwasher up on
two kitchen chairs (the struts on chairs)hooked it up and started her
up - with tarp and bucket underneath.

(i could see everything underneath and had flashlight, just like auto
mechanic)

and guess what -- nothing leaked. dry as a bone. could easily see the
tub ring, three small hose connections: one to the corrugated hose, not
sure what the other's did

anyway after two full washes/rinses/dry, still nothing leaked. so i'm
guessing when it leaked the first time it run there was some water in a
hose, or in a place water collected than more water would cause to
overflow - i'm pretty sure the original leak was from the tub, but it
was installed so didn't see close. (the DW was also moved sideways)

does this sound like a logical explanation?

i hooked it back up under the counter. looks great, and i'll keep the
kick plate off for a while and watch the next few times i run it. i
also keep an angle dish tray under DW, so any leaks will flow towards
the front so easy to see.

also replaced a couple of the underside hose connections with new
radiator clamps, so hopefully i improved it.

it works great too. i'm baffled, but not complaining
