"8 FLA" On Furnace Blower Relay: What Does "FLA" Mean ?
Hello:
Saw the following designation on a furnace blower replacement relay, preumably for the current capability of the contacts: "8 FLA" Never ran into this before. Assuming the A part means amps, which would be about right for the relay and the number 8 appearing, what could the FL part be ? Thanks, B. |

most motor tags show this spec, so you know how big the relays, fuses, etc
need to be. FLA is considerably higher than running amperage for motors. bill "Robert11" wrote in message ... This is Turtle. 8 F.L.A. stands for the relay can handle 8 amps in Maxium operation mode. Also it means 8 Full Load Amps . The relay will handle 8 amps till the cows come home. TURTLE |
