I recently spilled some mineral spirits in the trunk of my car, soaking
part of the "carpeting" that cannot be removed easily due to it being
all one piece creating the floor, walls and back of the trunk. Would an
enzymatic cleaner work to "wash" out the residue and the smell? If so,
any suggestions as to the one to use? If not, what other suggestions do
you have?

I doubt that any cleaning solution will work. If it were my car, I'd let
time to its thing--in a few days-weeks, the MS will have evaporated--airing
it out with the trunk open or with a fan blowing air into the open trunk
should help. Warmer temperatures will hasten evaporation as well. I don't
recommend a lit match, though. Sprinkling some kind of absorbant on the
carpet (kitty litter comes to mind) followed by vacuuming it up might hasten
the job.
