Help finding replacement cover for ceiling light.
In trying to replace one of the four
48" fluorescent tubes in my ceiling light, I accidentally dropped and shattered the translucent plastic cover which rests inside the wood frame. No model number or brand is visable and the fixture is about 15 years old. Certainly not in stock locally. The cover measures 23.5 x 47.5 inches, plus .5" lip at the bottom of 1.5" extension. Looking for any suggestions on where to find or fabricate a replacement cover. Many thanks. |

Any of the big box home improvement stores (B&Q, Lowes, Home Depot, etc) will stock 2x4 (or 4x2 if you are in the UK) sheets of translucent panels in the section where they stock suspended ceiling components. If you really need the panel cut down, use a very fine blade coping saw and trim to fit. |
