Garage door/code problem

OK... I just parked my car in my garage for the first time this
season. The garage door opener is in the car. I dont know the code for
the keypad outside. I realize that this is info that I SHOULD know but
I just bought the house about 2 months ago and this is the first time
I have parked the car in the garage. Does anyone have some suggestions
on what do, who to call etc. ??

I am so laughing at myself for this incident (which I am sure you all
are as well) but if anyone has any suggestions, I would really
appreciate it.

If you know the manufacturer and model#, you can perhaps find an on-line
owner's manual that will tell you how to reprogram it to anything you
want. At least that is the case with our Craftsman (Sears) keypad.

Uhh . . . I just realized: the car is in your garage and the only way
you have to get in is by using the keypad for which you do not know the
code? If that's the case, the method I suggested above won't work,
because you need access to the receiver (inside the garage!) to
reprogram it.

Now is the time to cut an opening in the garage side or rear wall to
install a people sized door. Put a lock on the door with the same key
as your front door.
