Hot water in bathroom sink question
We just had a plumber out last week. Since he left we've noticed hot
water in bathroom sink will sort of turn itself off unless we have a good size stream coming out. Cold water is fine. Turn cold on low stream and it stays on. Will this work itself out or do we need him back? He replaced seats and valve stems. Prior to this I had changed the washers but I guess the valve stems were shot. So he replaced them both. But now if I turn on hot water to the point of a slower flow and not full stream the flow is shut down to almost nothing by itself. We've dealt with this place for many years and I'd hope they'd correct this IF it's a problem. But is it? Is this normal for new seats and valve stems? Will it work itself out or do we need them back? |

The washer material may not be suitable or else the factory overtightened the bibb screw; overtightening will deform the rubber and the temp change allows it to "grow". Jim |

Or it could be a loose washer screw. I would check that before I called
anyone. "Speedy Jim" wrote in message ... Albee Kuminova wrote: We just had a plumber out last week.
