Ikea Bellen Faucet - Connecting to US plumbing

So have some really nice Ikea Bellen faucets. The plumber cut off
the flanges on the supply tubes thinking he could use some sort of
compression coupling to the supply cut off. Seems the Ikea tubing is
metric, and he can't find a way to connect them. (Might have lost a
few pieces too :-()

Anyone encountered this problem and come up with a solution? This is
in SW Montana, and the near by plumbing supply companies don't seem to
carry ANY metric stuff.

Thanks,
Don

Call Ikea. Bet they have an adapter coupling which they could
mail to you...

try their 800 #?

fittings appear to be British thread to u.s. tube.

bpst is tapered thread bsp is "straight".
http://www.newmantools.com/taps/bsp.htm
in the US, faucet and supply tube's nut have straight threads.

--------
if the faucet came with special supply tubes that have British on one end
and "us" threads on other, maybe a barb x barb fitting or comp x comp
fitting from hardware store could be used to mend the cut tube? or barb x
barb fitting or comp x comp fitting might be used as a "translator" between
the cut off supply tube and common u.s. supply tubes?
