Where to put 2nd shower head...

Hi,

We're building this:
http://www.englehomes.com/index.cfm?...159&Code=15909

We're going to add a 2nd shower head in the master bath for fun.
Anyone with two currently care to comment on the best place for this
in the shower? Below the first? On the opposite wall, next to the
door? On the long wall?

It sounded cool when we were talking about it, but I'm not sure where
it is of most use.

Thanks!

We have our master bath off of our master bedroom in an area that
originally was the garage. It is approximately 10 feet deep and 20
feet wide, with a double sink vanity and wall to wall mirror above it
on the of the short walls, the entrance and commode are also located
at that end. The tub is at the other end and the walls and floor are
matching black marble. The floor slopes from each end to the center
of the room where a floor drain is located. The shower heads are on
the opposite long walls in the middle of the room. There is no need
for shower curtains and it can provide more "fun" than you can
imagine. (My brother in law is a paraplegic and it also allows us to
be the only family members who can invite him and his wife to visit
without having to find an "almost accessible" hotel/motel for them to
stay.

Above the sink! Over the toilet!! Above the door so you can get people
coming in with cold water!!!

in the shower?

Ahhh, wheres the FUN in that? ;-)

Well, we could put it in the family room, like on Monster House and
pray to the Tiki Gods, but....

"Fun?" Well, what positions do you plan to use for your fun?

I have had two shower heads in the homes I've built going back around
25 years now, so do a lot of people I know, don't consider it any big
deal, but this was so that 2 people could better shower together, is
that 'fun' or practical?

I didn't bother to look at your link. But if its a conventional tub
its going in, they are 'usually' on opposite ends so that two people
can each use one. I suppose if it was a more square stall you could
have them next to each other for side by side. I don't see where one
over the other would help for 2 people, but maybe I don't understand
what kind of 'fun' you intend to have with it.

Another Q is where to put the controls. I have both of mine on the
long wall so that they are not behind both people's heads when taking
a bath. You were talking to sets of faucets also, weren't you???

Hi,

Yes, two sets of controls. Not in a tub, a shower area.

Fun, as in something that sounds a little crazy but interesting. What
_are_ you people thinking? :

Handheld? :o)

Bump the pressure up in the house and get a larger water heater.

I think we can tell "v" doesn't have fun in the shower. :) If the shower
is square or rectangular put the 2 heads on opposite walls or on 90 degree
walls so you can stand between them.
